Asian Studies offers degree programs in both Chinese and Japanese with a strong emphasis not only on proficiency in reading, writing and speaking these languages, but also on communication skills, and on providing an understanding of the countries, society and culture.
This unit explores Asian popular cultures in a global and cross cultural context. It looks at notions of hybridity, intertextuality, and change within the context of diverse cultural encounters in the region and beyond...
