JPN 122: A Survey of Japanese Culture
About this Unit
A general education unit which examines traditional Japanese culture and its relevance in contemporary society both in Japan and internationally. Theoretical and historical examination of some aspects of culture are accompanied by a practical introduction to Japan’s cultural assets. The unit is conducted in English and there is no formal linguistic requirement. Assessment will be based on assignment tasks such as online discussions, class presentations and class tests.
